PHS North Lot To Open

The expanded parking lot on the north side of Perkins High School is to open on Tuesday, December 2, for teachers and staff – as well as students and community members for after-school events and athletics. 

Please be advised that a new traffic pattern has been adopted. All traffic entering the lot from Campbell Street will use the entrance immediately north of the high school building. All traffic exiting the lot will use a newly constructed exit at the northernmost part of the lot.

The same entrances and exits will be used by bus traffic before and after school. Parents and students are asked to please yield to bus traffic in the lot. 

The expanded parking lot has 257 spaces, including 17 handicap spaces. Previously, the lot had 135 spaces, of which four were for drivers with handicap permits. The lot is adjacent to the district's new maintenance facility, which is expected to open later in December.
